OneDrive for Business

OneDrive for Business is Microsoft's cloud storage service for work and school accounts. It is tied to an organization's Microsoft 365 subscription, and the organization's administrators control its storage, sharing, and data policies.

Connecting ExpanDrive to OneDrive for Business lets you manage files directly from your desktop. If you're using a personal Microsoft account, use the OneDrive connector instead.

OneDrive for Business Authentication

ExpanDrive uses OAuth authentication. You sign in with your work or school account and authorize ExpanDrive to access your files. Microsoft returns a token that ExpanDrive stores in your operating system's credential store.

Nickname

The nickname appears as the mounted volume name in Finder on macOS or File Explorer on Windows.
