# Dropbox

You can use ExpanDrive to connect to Dropbox using either a Personal account or a Dropbox Business account.

ExpanDrive uses a standard [OAuth flow](/security.md#understanding-oauth-2) to authenticate, so ExpanDrive has no access to your account credentials, only the authentication token returned by Dropbox.

## Connection Parameters

### Nickname

The nickname identifies this connection on your machine. This name is used as the volume label on the mounted drive.

### Account

The account you used for authenticating is displayed. You cannot change this value.

## Connecting Multiple Dropbox Accounts

If you're connecting to more than one Dropbox account, you may need to sign out of Dropbox in your default web browser to trigger re-authentication before you add the new connection to ExpanDrive. This will not disconnect your existing ExpanDrive connections to Dropbox.
