# Google Drive

ExpanDrive connects to Google's API and turns Drive into a fast network drive, making your entire account available from any app on your desktop.

ExpanDrive uses a standard [OAuth flow](/security.md#understanding-oauth-2) to authenticate, so ExpanDrive has no access to your account credentials, only the authentication token returned by Google.

## Connection Parameters

### Nickname

The nickname identifies this connection on your machine. This name is used as the volume label on the mounted drive.

### Account

The account you used for authenticating is displayed. You cannot change this value.
